Earlier this week, the Buffalo United Resiliency Center (BURC) recently celebrated its community's healing journey with their first annual "Tournament of Champions" luncheon! This event brought together individuals impacted by the 5/14 tragedy, offering a space to celebrate their resilience, connect with others, and find solace in shared experiences. November was a busy month! We celebrated our 2023 Gala. Our theme, “Going Further Together,” marked a significant milestone in our journey. In the Months of September & October we: -Hosted our our highly anticipated Community Impact Report at Burchfield Penney Art Center. President & CEO, Thomas Beauford, Jr updated the community on successes over the past year and shared his vision for the new fiscal year. -Participated in Ride the Revolution with the American Stroke Association to raise funds for research to eradicate stroke and heart disease. -Also participated in our Buffalo United Resiliency Center’s First Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Walk.

In August, we announced our $1.1 Million commitment from Fidelis Care and the Centene Corporation Foundation to develop a new Wellness and Entrepreneurial Center in Buffalo! In July, we teamed up with AT&T to close the digital divide. To help close this technological gap, we distributed 150 laptops to the community.
